About me

Claire Hughes MSc Bsc (Hons) Chartered Physiotherapist

Welcome to Corvedale Physiotherapy.

I qualified as a Physiotherapist in 1994 from Brighton University and went on to specialise into musculoskeletal/ orthopaedic work early in my career. I worked in Walsall, Shrewsbury, Telford, Stoke-on-Trent and Wolverhampton Hospitals before moving into primary care, working alongside GPs in Stoke-on-Trent before moving back to Shropshire. I gained my MSc in Neuromusculoskeletal Healthcare from Keele University in 2004 and went on to work independantly in a medical practice in Telford before moving to South Shropshire where I worked across the Herefordshire border for a short time before working as a First Contact Physiotherapy Practitioner in Ludlow, Shrewsbury and Telford within the NHS.

I have a broad experience of working in a variety of settings with a wide range of patients from rugby clubs (working for Newport and Telford RFU and Harper Adams University) to elderly care homes and have also gained a wealth of experience providing and leading the Physiotherapy Telephone Triage service from Shropdoc.

I set up my private practice in 2017 where I have been working alongside the therapists at the Chiro Clinic and Wellness Centre, initially in Holcombe House on Gravel Hill before moving to our new premises in 2020.
